Ah, Verizon <sigh>

Just spent over an hour in online chat (very disappointing) and on the phone with Verizon trying to find out why automatic payments aren’t working. The sole answer seems to be nobody knows, but if the printed bill doesn’t say not to pay the bill, you should pay it. This is fine if you get printed bills, but not so good if you get ebills — the only way to know that the bill isn’t being paid automatically is to create and view a pdf of the printed bill. There’s no notification of any kind in the web site.
